Keeanga-YamahttaTaylor(c)EricRuder_Lannan_jpgKeeanga-Yamahtta Taylor is  a Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of African American Studies at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana for the 2013-2014 academic year. Her research concerns include race, class and housing inequality, public policy and social movements.  Her dissertation, Race for Profit: Black Housing and the Urban Crisis of the 1970s was funded in part by a multiyear Northwestern University Presidential Fellowship and a Ford Foundation Dissertation Fellowship.   Her writings have been published in Souls: A Critical Journal of Black Politics, Culture and Society, The Guardian Newspaper, New Politics, The Black Commentator, Gaper’s Block, Ms. magazine among other publications.
